Six Lessons That Address Real Threats
Each 50-minute lesson includes slides, videos, discussion guides, and hands-on activities.
Healthy Relationships, Online & Off
This foundational lesson establishes a framework for healthy interactions, online and off. Students learn to identify characteristics of healthy relationships—mutual respect, positive interactions, and clear boundaries—and recognize warning signs of unhealthy ones. They practice setting and communicating boundaries in all of their relationships.
Lesson 1
Private Means Private:
When Sharing Isn't Okay
Students learn about "revenge porn"—the act of sending or posting another person's intimate photos or videos without consent. They discover its serious social and legal consequences, gain strategies to protect themselves online, and learn what to do if they ever become involved in an incident.
Lesson 3
AI-Manipulated Images and You
Students explore how generative AI can manipulate photos of people — including classmates, celebrities, or themselves—and discover the real-world harm this causes, even when an image looks fake or is meant as a joke. They consider the ethical and emotional impact and learn what to do if they or someone they know becomes a victim of image-based abuse.
Lesson 5

Think Before You Share:
Sexting & Online Boundaries
Students learn that sexting is a serious digital-age issue and discover the consequences they might face if they send — or are sent — a sext. They become aware of possible legal consequences and are empowered with actionable strategies to protect themselves.
Lesson 2
Spotting & Stopping Digital Blackmail
Sextortion—when an offender coerces a minor into creating and sending explicit images using threats, blackmail, or emotional pressure—is a growing problem the FBI has issued a warning about, particularly among teen boys. Students learn to identify sextortion schemes and know what to do if anyone tries to coerce or blackmail them online.
Lesson 4
AI Chatbots and Real Connections
Students explore the growing use of AI chatbots— programs that simulate human conversation through text or voice. They consider when it's appropriate to use a chatbot and when it's better to seek out a real person, especially for emotional support or complex issues, and evaluate the benefits and risks of chatbot interactions.
